Alright, well, first off, I got Missing Links Volume 2 & 3, and Live 1969 when we went to see Peter. And I'm listening to Missing Links 3 now, and it started playing Little Red Rider, and I had to turn it off, because I think that's like the only song that Mike recorded with the Monkees that I haven't heard… guh. That's sad. Apparently though, there are a bunch more songs that the Monkees didn't release, so they need to make a Missing Links 4. *pulls out "The Monkees Scrapbook"*
See? See? "Whatever's Right", "Gotta Give It Time", "I Want To Be Your Puppy" (hmm, methinks that's a Davy song, ha ha)… "Black and Blue"… "Poor Little Me"… "Yours Until Tomorrow"… "My Song In 7", "Empire", (both written by Mike, so hmm….)… "Wasn't Born To Follow", "That's What It's Like Loving You", "Today", "Thirteen Is Not Our Lucky Number", "Lynn Harper", "Suzanna Sometime", "The Bus That Never Comes", "How Can I Tell You"… aah… Come on, that's not even all of them, they HAVE to release another CD! C'mon!
Anyways, I finally finished my Peter Tork and James Lee Stanley in Saratoga Springs review! Phew! So, here you go! I am going to try to get some pics up soon, so… yeah.

My family and I went to Cafe Lena at about 1:00 on Saturday, and saw on the door that the 8:00 show had sold out, so they added a 5:30 show. We had called the Cafe a few weeks before and made reservations, but they weren't confirmed, so we decided to go to the 5:30 show and see what was happening. We came back at about 4:50 and were the second or third people there. It turns out we did have reservations for the 8:00 show, but we cancelled them and stayed for the first one. Unfortunately, we had to sit at the back, but I was happy just to be there. :)
So, 5:30 came and one of the employees of the Cafe went to the performance area where there was a piano, and I believe a few other instruments, but I couldn't see them. Soon I heard a guitar behind me, but I was too nervous to turn around to see who it was. It turned out to be James, and he went up to the "stage" area and started his set. I couldn't tell you the names of all of the songs, but some were "Stolen Season", "Just Like Tom Thumbs Blues", "Three Monkeys", and "Fair-weather Town".
After you go through the door to the Cafe, there's a small room, then another door, then some stairs, and we were sitting behind a railing at the top of the stairs. A little after "Stolen Season", I think, my mom looked down the stairs and saw someone coming inside and said "Oh, I think that's him!" I had no idea what she was talking about, so I continued, watching the show. Then, "Yep, that's him!" I looked at the person coming up the stairs and… it was Peter! He was so close to me, less than a foot away I think… eep! Some of the people that came in before hadn't closed the door behind them, so it got pretty cold upstairs, but Peter was good, he closed the door. :)
Anyways, when James finished, he introduced Peter and he came on and did his set. Peter started with "Long Title", then "MGB-GT", "East Virginia", "I Truly Understand", "Good Looker" and a symphony that I don't remember the name of. Somewhere in between the set, James came out and said something about having only half an hour left, so Peter must've only been able to do a few songs. At the end he played "Daydream Believer" on the piano, which was very nice.
Then they took a break and went to the back of the Cafe (near our table again) and were selling CDs. Since I was so close to them, I was second or third in line, and I asked Peter to sign my "Then And Now… The Best of The Monkees" record and I got a picture with him. After that though, Peter said he would sign the rest at the end of the show since there wasn't enough time, he he. I bought a Two Man Band CD and then went back to my seat until the next set started.
Shorty after, Peter and James went back to the stage area and started playing again. I don't remember all the songs or the order, but I believe they played "Easy Rider", "Hi Babe", "One Trick Pony", and maybe four or so more before ending with "Pleasant Valley Sunday". From most of the reviews I've read, they played quite a few more songs at other shows since they had to finish for the 8:00 show that day, which stinks, but all the songs they did do were great.
At the end of the show, Peter and James went to the back of the cafe again, and I was again second in line and got them to sign my CD. When I gave Peter the CD, he asked my name, so I told him, and he said something like "Oh, yes, with the record, right?" My mom said something about us being from Ontario and driving six hours to see him, and Peter was surprised, I think, and then… he came around the desk and gave me a hug… aww. So I was very happy. I got my CD and said goodbye, then we left. I would have really liked to stay for the second set, since I'm pretty sure they would've done more songs. There were a few other people in line who had said they were also from Ontario, so I hope Peter heard them and realizes there are a few of us here and will plan on stopping in Buffalo or somewhere else closer. :)

Ahh… I hugged Peter. No. Peter hugged me. Yes. Aww… I was so happy. He he. Damn, Peter, PLEASE come to Ontario. Or Buffalo. Or anywhere within two hours away. And not on a school night. Well, if it's on a school night but it's only and hour or whatever away that's okay. Screw school. Ha ha. But no really. When I saw Davy it was the night before the first day of school. That was funny. I was really tired in the morning 'cause I couldn't get to sleep. Ha ha. Yes, anyways, this entry is long enough, me has to go work on Sunshine Factory again. 'Cause Sunshine Factory is one year old now. Yup. :) And Peter's birthday is tomorrow. Yup. :)
