I've tried recording myself singing before and it always turned out, well, awful.
I think I might have a good singing voice, but I'd never sing in front of anyone so I'd never know.
I'm listening to myself singing some of the Tommy soundtrack. Man. I'm so awful. Or I have a really bad microphone. My voice sounds so high! Good for little Tommy, not so good for others like Frank.
I'm just glad I didn't record Acid Queen. I thought I did a pretty good Tina impression, but I don't think I'd want to hear it.

I'm listening to my Amazing Journey now, I think I sound nasally. But that's probably because I'm sick. Because that's apparently what Britney Spears and all those people do, and nasally voice = bad. Or so I'm told. I don't know.
I can't do that thing Ann Margret does, especially in Christmas. "I believe in love but how can men who've never seen light be enliiightEEEENNNNEEEEEDDDDD…" It's rather disappointing because my brother hates when she does that, and if I could do that I would be happy.
Well, I can safely tell you I won't try out for a solo in vocal ensemble. :)
