About Me

  • My name is Jenny and I'm a first year university student studying computer science. I'm really awesome.

Today started with a bang. Or rather a spark, and then a lot of annoying beeps.

Just before 1:00 I woke up. I don't know exactly what woke me up, but I heard and saw a spark go off beside my bed. And then the smoke alarm went off. I don't know exactly what happened, I think I got up and started to try and find the light switch. I was very disoriented.

Apparently, my lava lamp did something. The little switch thing had sparked I suppose, since it was sitting on my CD player speakers and now there's a big black blotch.

It's rather stupid really. I knew the lava lamp wasn't working. You have to set the switch on a flat surface for the light to actually stay on, so it makes sense that the switch was the thing that had exploded. But I never realized it could be a fire hazard. It's pretty scary.

But everything was okay, thankfully. :)

Then I went to school, as I do every weekday.

Went to History, we were researching our president project thing, which was good because I really need to start working on it. Went to Communications, but only stayed for a little while because a few of us were going to a French Trip to a restaurant in Oakville.

We went down to the foyer and we got to look at the menus, which is good, because I don't like food, and it was nice I had time to decide what sounded least disgusting. I settled on a ham and swiss cheese crepe, because I like ham and cheese, but not necessarily together. At least there were no vegetables. *shudder* But then the teacher told us we could get a dessert crepe, because we couldn't get both a meal and dessert. So I obviously switched to a dessert crepe. "La Princesse" it's called, it's basically a big flat brown pancake with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and some little fruit bits.

So we went to the restaurant and our teacher told us the people at the restaurant only spoke French. We later heard the one guy speaking English to some other customers, so we knew that she just told them to speak French to us. :P

The meals were HUGE, I'm very proud to say I ate all of mine, well, except for the fruit. And I got Sprite and not any weird drinks, so that was pretty good.

Then, since the bus wouldn't be there until 2:00, we got to walk around the town. Not too exciting. I went into a few little stores with Jada, and we had to run away from Michelle, Kenny, and John because they were stalking us. o_O

So we got back to the bus and Jada and I got the seats in the back. Yeah! Because that's where the cool kids sit.

We got back to school and there was still 20 minutes left. I was supposed to go to Guitar, but Michelle said we could just stay in the French class. But then Michelle realized Jada is in her class and that if Jada had went to class, Michelle would be "busted" because the teacher would know the people on the trip were back. So Michelle went to class. I started towards Guitar, but then I saw Jada in the hall! She hadn't gone to class. Pretty funny. Jada was the one who ended up getting "busted". Although, not really, since the teacher told us we could go to her class.

Yep, and that's about all that happened. Very exciting.
