Take a person.
This person is a talented song writer.
Take several different popular singers and groups. Around 10 - 20.
These artists ask this song writer to write them a song.
But they all only want one song. They don't want them to write a whole album. Just one song.
This song writer has written a rock opera in the past. There are many different styles of songs in the rock opera: rock, pop, country, rap, and many more.
However, this song writer has a problem. He/she can't sing, can't play an instrument, doesn't have a band, etc, so no one has ever heard these songs.
This song writer decides to sell the songs from the rock opera to all these artists.
I've been thinking about this for awhile. Not constantly or anything, driving me insane, it's just one of those things I think about from time to time.
Would someone actually be able to do that?
Is there some sort of law against it?
Would any one in the general public realize that these songs are all connected?
If the songs are for all different people, different genres, in no other way connected, how would anyone figure this out?
I mean, back when I listened to popular music on the radio, I never knew who the song writers were.
I think that would be incredibly awesome if someone did that.
Especially if that someone was me. :)
Except, it wouldn't be me, because who would want to buy my crazy rock opera songs with aliens and stuff in 'em?
That might have to be one of my life goals.
Maybe I should make a list.
Hmm…
