About Me

  • My name is Jenny and I'm a first year university student studying computer science. I'm really awesome.

Here's a little story for you all. True story. I hope you all read it and understand and think about it before you flame someone in the future.

The Skipper was upset. He had to go find food even though it was Ginger's turn! And this has happened before, too. *Totally* not fair. Skipper is sitting around with the other castaways and he tells them all about it. Gilligan says:

Well if yoiu have to get the food it's youre turn to get the food, nothing much you can do about it.

The Skipper says:

You*
Your*

Congrats on your profound new attitude on spelling!

Well unlike your one-dimensional demeanor, I try to solve things, that's why I came here to hear other people's opinions. Try to think outside the box.

But while Skipper was saying this, Gilligan was listening to The Professor talking about making a radio, and so Gilligan didn't hear Skipper's reply.

Skipper gets angry. He thinks Gilligan was ignoring him on purpose! He's done that in the past, you know. But actually, The Professor foresaw an argument occuring if Gilligan *had* heard what Skipper had said, so he purposely cut in to stop Gilligan from hearing him.

Skipper complains to The Professor:

Gilligan has yet again (3rd time now) ignored me for no apparent reason. Sorry but I can't live on an island where people always ignore me.

Have a nice life,

The Skipper

The Professor explains that if Gilligan had heard what Skipper had said, they would've had a fight, and there would be lots of broken coconuts lying around. The Professor agrees that Gilligan was not really helping Skipper with his problem, but you know, Gilligan isn't really all that bright. But Gilligan, nice guy that he is, didn't say one mean thing to Skipper.

The Professor also agrees that people spelling things incorrectly can really get on his nerves too. But accidents happen. There's no reason to point it out, because after all, Skipper could still understand what he meant.

The Professor scratches his chin and thinks of days gone by, off the island. He recalls many fights including arguments based on the other party's grammar skills (or lack of). Not wanting a fight to start on the island, The Professor took action.

The Professor, insightful fellow that he is, concludes that the bad spelling didn't really bother Skipper all that much. He just wanted to pick a fight. And since Skipper is stronger and smarter than Gilligan, he would probably win.

The Professor concludes that he would much rather live on an island where people didn't say harmful things than an island where everyone was always fighting.
