About Me

  • My name is Jenny and I am in my first year at Brock University studying Computer Science. I'm really awesome.

Finished drum lessons. Phew. It was kind of sad. I'm getting better. A little better. All the time. So it's less frustrating. I'll probably go back for more lessons later, just take a little break and try to learn a bit on my own.

On a completely unrelated note, I seem to remember strange things from my childhood. I remember one day we were driving home from my brother's talking school and I had to remember something. But I don't know what it was. Maybe I just said "let's see if I can remember this moment forever for no particular reason". If so, it worked. I am doomed to remember that moment forever.

I remember watching Art Attack. I know that dude on the show is a Libra. Because he mentioned it once.

I remember being in my friend's garage and someone came in and told us Michael Jordan did something. But I don't know what.

I remember learning what the middle finger meant. I was in the library walking to class with my friend and talking about this one kid in our class saying "I HAVE AN IDEA!" and pointing upward. Then my friend told me I was using my middle finger and that it's bad.

I remember a birthday party at McDonalds where I got a paint by numbers thing and I said "Oh, I have this already" and mom kept saying "no no, that's a different one". But I *knew* she was wrong.

I remember my (substitute?) gym teacher teaching us her name. "Mrs. MacDonald-Payette, again, Mrs. MacDonald-Payette, again…" OVER AND OVER AND OVER!

I remember walking through the snow and wind to the portables for music class. And I would also have a little commentary in my head about how our class were these explorer people or something.

I remember playing "Phantom of the Opera" at recess, despite having no idea what it was.

I remember someone brought dish soap or something to school and saying how it was ghost blood or something.

I remember this kid Kyle who used to swear a lot and sitting in the basement asking my dad about swear words.

I remember singing on the bus. And playing games where you weren't supposed to move and the kid beside me told on me for moving. :(

I remember listening to the teacher in grade 1 reading a book and I got in trouble for talking. So yeah, there Jada, I have been told to shut up by a teacher before. Ha, come on, I'm not a nerd.

I remember my second grade teacher would always say "girls line up" and "boys line up" and then when people still didn't line up he'd say something like "logs line up".

I remember bringing in a picture of my new house to show and tell in grade 3.

Yeah. That's all I remember. Everything else is gone. Right. Ta.

I remember when I learned what the middle finger meant. I was at my grandmother's house and she and my grandpa were fighting and she gave him the middle finger.
    I said
"What does this mean?" and I pointed it at her.
"Don't do that! It means you want to get into a fight!"
