So I was walking home thinking the other day, as I always do. Some people already have their Christmas lights up. Now, when there’s no snow, Christmas lights look kind of stupid, in my opinion.

Do they even put up lights down in California and Texas and all those places? I seem to remember watching the Brady Christmas movie and I’m pretty sure they did have Christmas stuff outside.

But up here in Canada, at least for me, snow and Christmas are associated with each other. You can have snow without Christmas, but you can’t have Christmas without snow.

Well, technically you *can*, but it’s not *right*.

So yeah, the lights looked kind of stupid.

You know those icicle lights? Don’t put those up. Those are *so* five years ago. They used to be cool. Now everyone has them.

We don’t put up Christmas lights. We put a new floor in our bedrooms. It’s a lot warmer.

Today in Guitar we brainstormed (well, not me really, so technically it would just be “some of the class”, not including moi) Christmas songs and wrote them on the board. Then we (and this time it is we, because it was all of us, including me) picked one of the songs and we’re supposed to figure it out on the Guitar using the scale we learned at the beginning of the year.

I picked Frosty The Snowman. But I remembered I know only the first verse.

I mean, there’s really no Christmas songs I know all of anymore.

Jingle Bells, yeah, everyone knows that. Rudolph I think I know as well, even the “bad” version. You know, the one about Santa in his – gasp – UNDERWEAR!

Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa la la la la, la la la la. But then after that my mind only says “Buddy’s here and so is Charlie”. Damn Charles in Charge.

Joy to the world, I don’t think I’ve ever really known the words past the the first line, except for “the teacher’s dead” version.

Silent Night, Away In A Manger, O Little Town Of Bethlehem, Hark The Harald Angels Sings, What Child Is This… all the ones mentioning Jesus or Christianity or anything I don’t really know at all. Maybe they just didn’t teach them in school? But I think they would’ve. I don’t know. I’m just not a religious person.

But no. I don’t think there’s any Christmas songs I really know all the words to.

I’m just not a Christmas carol person.

I’m not an advent calender person. Though I wouldn’t complain if I had one. Hey, chocolate is chocolate.

I don’t like turkey and big Christmas dinners. Any fancy dinners are just not for me.

I do however like my grandma’s fruit cake. THE BEST FRUIT CAKE IN THE WORLD! Bought it from a store once, BLEH, awful. I only like hers. :)

I really am not a Christmas person, period.

My idea of a Christmas movie is Tommy.

Which is also my idea of a Rememberance Day movie.

I am very superficial. The only reason I like Christmas is for presents for me and time off from school. I’m a grinch.

Whoville.

Hehe.

That’s where I’d like to live.

Wow, imagine a whole village of just Who people. Who stuff. Who music. Who knows what.

I was watching Kenny Vs. Spenny today. That crazy one, Kenny, reminds me of Keith. My brother reminds me of Keith as well. They all do weird things for attention, I suppose.

Lots of famous people remind me of people.

Red on That 70s Show as well as Donald Trump remind me of my History teacher. Only at certain moments.

Kitty from That 70s Show reminds me of my Grade 9 Business teacher.

That 70s Show better end this season. It has definitely jumped the shark. Fez isn’t innocent anymore. I think he got a little taller or bigger or something. And he doesn’t have quite the same voice. Not Fez.

Caroline was awful. I loved her, but this last episode was not good. She was just yelling all the time, not yelling and then being all sweet like last time. She was a great character, but no more.

That new kid, Josh or whatever, is just awful. Can’t stand him one bit. And with Eric gone, really, that’s just stupid.

I watched a few really old episodes, Jackie has definitely changed. With her it wasn’t too bad though. I think she’s progressed nicely.

Donna just isn’t the same blonde. I’m used to it now, but I don’t know, still strange.

And Laurie. That new Laurie is not Laurie. You can’t have Laurie without Laurie, so just don’t have Laurie.

It’s nice they brought Leo back.

Kitty’s new hair, no, it’s wrong. You can’t have Kitty without the Kitty hair!

Red still seems all right. He’s awesome.

Kelso… is he on the show now or what? I can’t even remember.

Hyde, nothing about him really seems to bug me lately.

But Kitty, Laurie, Josh, Eric, Fez, Caroline… you’ve let me down. Sniffle.

So without That 70s Show, there’s really no current shows I watch besides Desperate Housewives. I stopped watching Simpsons awhile ago. No particular reason, just always forgot. Though I think I subconciously realized it had jumped the shark as well and stopped watching.

I stopped watching Malcolm a long time ago. Moving it to Friday… stupid, stupid. Who watches TV on a Friday? Come on! Honestly. Isn’t Friday like that bad day that whenever shows are moved to that day they’re cancelled? Like 24 or something? I don’t know, I read it somewhere.

You would not believe how long it too me to figure out that Lola is a guy. And yet I am 100% sure I heard he say that Lola is a man in the song. Every single time. And yet I didn’t think he actually *meant* Lola was a man. Boy, dumbass me.

Right then. I’ve gone off topic. As always. Ta.

You know, there’s nothing wrong with a “green” christmas. COnsidering last year, all we had was snow sprinkles but they disappeared as soon as they hit the ground.(I live in the South) The most snow we’ve seen was before I was even born.(if you really wanna know, it’s Louisiana)Since we’re Cajun, our Christmases are more about family than presents and snow. We usually have a lot of people who put christmas lights up and really out do themselves. *Psst* Christmas doesn’t have a look, it has a feeling!

By the way, that 70’s show is funny awesome!

I know there’s nothing wrong with it, it just seems strange to me since I’m so used to the snow.

It’s very true what you said about look/feeling and presents/family. I wish I was more of a feeling/family person, but I think I’m just too shallow. I respect people who would rather give than receive, that’s what it’s all about, after all. :)
