About Me

  • My name is Jenny and I'm a first year university student studying computer science. I'm really awesome.

Wow. It feels so early. But we've already opened presents.

My family's weird that way. We always open presents on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning we just sleep in.

Anyway, this year they wanted to open present at 3:30! Insane, I know. Dad fell asleep so we didn't actually do it until an hour or so later.

Since I'm sure you're dying to hear, this is what I got:

CDs
Michael Nesmith - Tropical Campfires
The Beatles - Let It Be
The Who Sell Out
Eric Clapton - Time Pieces
The Doors - LA Woman
Paul McCartney - All the Best!
The Who - Quadrophenia Soundtrack
Led Zeppelin
The Who - It's Hard
The Who - Face Dances
The Monkees - Pool It!

DVDs
The Kids Are Alright
Three's Company Season 1
Cheers Season 1
Frasier Season 1
Seinfeld Season 1 & 2
That 70s Show Season 1

The first thing I opened was Paul McCartney, which I hadn't asked for, but it's not that bad. I mean, Say Say Say is on it, so that alone is worth whatever it cost. :) The second thing I opened was The Simple Life Season 1.

…WHAT THE HELL???

It was 2 / $16 or something, so that's why they got it… it was just a little… er… disheartening?

Anyway, I've already watched a bit of "The Kids Are Alright". Keith is just hilarious. And Pete as well, actually. The first clip was the Smothers Brothers bit and I realized I'd actually never really heard John or Keith's speaking voices. Wow.

Christmas didn't really feel like Christmas. It's lost it's meaning, to me at least. Not that there really ever was a meaning before besides presents, but it's just kind of not so fun. No more Santa Claus. It didn't snow this year. Like, there's snow on the ground, but you can still see a lot of grass. It doesn't feel like Christmas.

So this is Christmas. What *have* I done? My website's become more popular than ever, I suppose, but I don't watch my statistics that closely. I found a new band I like and I've opened up to a few others, seeing as not all my gifts are just Who stuff (which would've been nice as well). 2005. What is 2005 all about?

End of 2002 / 2003 was the year of the Monkees. End of 2003 / 2004 / beginning of 2005 was the Beatles. 2005 was the Who. I suppose 2006'll still be The Who, but someone else as well.

But really. What worthwhile have I done?

I suppose I've learned some stuff this year. Computer Science was awesome, but… do people actually use Visual Basic? Like for little things, but I'm sure there's another program.

I think this year I realized Communications is the field for me. And to think, I almost didn't take it. :) Maybe teaching Communications. I like teaching people. I like Communications. Every once in awhile, people will ask me for help with something in that class, so then I help them, and it's all good and fun and happy.

Hmm. I don't know. A year isn't really that long, is it? It's not like you accomplish that much in a year.

But you should be able to accomplish something every day. And I certainly waste a lot of my days.

I guess I better get back to wasting this day. Ta ta.
