About Me

  • My name is Jenny and I'm a first year university student studying computer science. I'm really awesome.

From Pete Townshend's blog:

"There will be a tour. We already have European Festival dates slotted in June and July. (These are our first Festivals since Cincinatti, a mark of respect to the fans who died at our concert there in December 1979. That long time ban of ours on playing 'festival' seating, with very few exceptions, was finally broken at Live Aid 1985, and Live 8 and Yokohama Japan now showing on TowserTV in 2004).

The American part of the tour, probably in three - or even four - legs, happens from September to December. We go on to the rest of the world in 2007. There will be a new CD sometime in the early summer. I know I've cried wolf a few times, but this time I have committed because I have about enough music for a new CD, and I'm still producing. Also, Rachel has agreed to come for the entire tour and do In The Attic before every show. This will prevent me becoming bored."

September to December. I'm assuming Canada is part of America, y'see.

That's a long way away.

I was hoping it would be this summer.

'Cause you know, if I had seen Paul back last February when I first heard about his concert, it would have been so much better. Because I was so into the Beatles then.

By next September I'll be into The Doors or someone.

I mean, the other week I was going to buy a Doors CD. A SECOND one. That would be more Doors CDs than I have Ringo CDs. More Doors than Peter Tork. Than Micky Dolenz. Do I even have any Davy Jones CDs? MORE THAN JOHN, KEITH, AND ROGER!

That is *not* a good thing.

But aren't the Doors doing something? D21C or whatever? So I could go see them. That would be good.

But I've still got to see The Who.

How long was my Monkees obsession? I don't think it was too much more than a year. The Who obsession officially began July 1 last year. So I have to prolong my Whonessness for over a year.

I've still got Odds & Sods, I haven't listened to that yet. I need to get Quadrophenia on CD and DVD. Haven't watched Who's Next yet.

I think I could get Pete and John's solo albums. The one of Roger's I have… well, it's not too thrilling. But I haven't really given it much of a chance.

14 Pete, John, and Who albums left. February - December, that's 11 months, assuming I can go see them at the latest time. So an album a month might keep me occupied until then. And I still haven't really listened to It's Hard. I listened to Face Dances all the way through, and there are actually quite a few good songs.

So if this month I go with Face Dances and It's Hard that gives me another month.

I think if I *do* get into the Doors or Zeppelin or someone, I'll have to take my obsession slower.

I go to people's websites and they've been a Monkees fan since the sixties. Now, I suppose I can understand that, since they were *there*. But someone my age who has been a fan for a long time, I don't know, I just can't do that.

It's like Roger said that Pete said "I'm glad men like us, because women are fickle".

And that is true about me, for sure. New year, new band.

I kind of wish I wasn't like that. But that's who I am.

Ha ha. I said "who". BWHAHA.
