I've finally started catching up on The Boy Who Heard Music. It's pretty good, if I do say so myself. Maybe not good, I don't know good. But I like it. And that's all I care about. Right? Right.
I think I've found my favourite word. You ready for it?
parenthetically
Pete used it in the story. And I just thought "wow, what a cool word".
So there, that's my favourite word. Ever since that time in Grade 9 our teacher was talking about his favourite word and I'm like "damn, why don't I have a favourite word?" And now, I am complete.
I also noticed Pete liked to use the word "straddled" a lot. Talking about the winter that straddled 1979 and 1980. I thought that was a clever usage of the word. I don't know.
Got my marks today: History 85%, Communications 97%, French 93%, and Guitar 89%. My Communications teacher said that was the highest mark anyone has ever gotten in his class, so that was cool.
I was thinking about what I would wear to The Who concert.
A long way away, I know. I mean, I didn't know what I was wearing to Bon Jovi until minutes before we left.
But should I wear my skeleton costume? People would probably comment on it. Some people would I think I was insane.
By "people", I mean people in the audience. But "people" by the names of "Pete" or "Roger" or even "Zak" or "Pino" or "Rabbit", it would be nice if they commented on it.
Except that I don't think I'm getting the floor seats that I want. I could probably afford them if I stopped spending on eBay. But I don't think my parents will go for it. I might be able to convince them to let my brother and I sit up front. Well, not front as in front row. But you know. Well, I know, and since that's all that matters… umm… right.
Back to the skeleton outfit. I would probably feel a little stupid.
Maybe a lot stupid.
It would need a second coat of paint.
And I was looking at the pictures of me wearing it in Halloween.
Well, I think I'd need to dye my hair black. Because with my reddish brown hair it looks kind of strange.
I always have my Tommy shirt for back up. That might still get comments. Not from "people" named "Pete" or "Roger" or anything. But, whatever.
Got my Google check in the mail the other day. Yay.
But no. Really. YAY!
I thought I was supposed to get more than that. Huh. Oh well.
Right then. Back to TBWHM. :)
