Awhile ago, Jada informed me of a poster at the mall that said something about Tommy. So I headed over to the mall, and sure enough, it was The Who's Tommy. We copied out the information on the poster and planned to call the number on the poster, since there wasn't really information on it.
We never really got around to calling, and apparently it's over. Which is sad.
But I looked up some stuff on Tommy in theatres, and it appears to be playing in quite a few other places.
All in the States though, but it's a start, right?
I noticed one that was playing in April in New York… wow! Wouldn't that be awesome if that's the Broadway play I'd see on the New York trip! *cue dream scene*
Then I look… April 22, 1993.
Uh… just a *little* late for that one, methinks. :)
I've also seen a few audition notices for Tommy, in the States as well, but still cool. I mean, man, that would be awesome. Except, there's no 16 year old girl in Tommy. Well, in the movie Sally Simpson is quite a bit younger than me, and from what I've seen, Sally in the theatre is older than me. But I suppose I could play her. Ha ha. If it was actually Roger playing Tommy, I'd have no trouble pretending to be a crazy obsessed fan. Ha ha.
Or I could be Cousin Karen. Which is kind of wrong. I mean. Karen? Kevin! Come on!
But we're forgetting one other important thing that would stop me from being anyone…
I don't sing. X|
Edit: Just wanted to say apparently my original American Idol choice, Katharine McPheee, still seems to be in the running. I called it. Way back. Before auditions were done. Still got awhile to go until the finals, but most of the ones I heard tonight were pretty bad. I'm rooting for her. There was one girl at the end of the auditions, I think she had a twin, but she couldn't sing. Something about her too, but I don't remember why exactly I liked her. And she's through so far as well, I'm pretty sure. I also called it that the last room would be let through. Come on, they said "USUALLY" they let 2 and 2 through. There was the clue. There's 3 in and 1 out or 3 out and 1 in. I knew it. I'm so smart.
