So today was a nice day. We got out of class, which was always good. We got to watch the Canada vs. Czech Republic Olympic hockey game. Canada won. :)
They were doing really good the first period, then after that it looked like they might lose. But they held on. And they won. But you already knew that.
It was really nice though. People were really into it. I was surprised how many people were wearing our school colours today.
The newspaper and the news were there, which was pretty cool. My mom said she saw the back of my head. Cool.
When the woman was taking pictures for the newspaper was near us, I tried to look really interested in the game. Heh heh.
The woman who was doing the news was sitting right beside me, interviewing two kids. I turned my head towards them and hoped that I might get my nose in the news. A noseworthy news. Or a newsworthy nose, I mean.
But everyone was very loud and colourful and cheering and what not.
It was really cool. I was like "this is what my mom was talking about when she was in school and everyone had so much school spirit!" It's too bad they aren't like that all the time.
Here, Michelle wants to say something:
YAY! The game rocked! But she didn't cheer too much >.> She "clapped" OOooooooo…. Um… yes well Other then that today was teh pure awesomeness! ^-^ No I'm not done >.> Geeze she thinks she's all that with her website and goodness and her glasses O.o Well… I think I've said my piece ^-^ Here she is again =P
Yeah. Well. I like clapping, okay? Geesh.
But now I have a headache. Ah well.
Hey! It's 5:15. Awesome.
They did a bit of trivia during the game, I was hoping they'd ask what times the goals were scored, because I knew two of them. The first was at 7:37. And, if you subtract 2 from each of those numbers whaddaya get…? 5:15! Coincidence? I think not. Another was 19:24. Which is pretty close to 1921.
But… no. They asked questions about the Olympics. I knew a few. Not too many. I should've been reading more on Wikipedia. I do know that two Olympics were "cancelled due to war". I thought that was kind of hilarious. I mean, the situation isn't hilarious, but just the wording. Like, I was telling my mom and she says something about "a sign on the door that says 'cancelled due to war'". That would be funny. "Oh, it's cancelled, eh? We better go back home to Canada, eh? We'll just pack up our hockey gear, eh?"
Yeah. And they did some draws for some shirts and stuff. We didn't win anything. Oh well.
Anyways. That's about it. That's all I have to say about that.
