I really wanted to write about my day today. And go really in depth, too. But today wasn't a good day. I mean, it wasn't a bad day, but it isn't really a good day to write about. Nothing really struck me as very interesting. It was going to help my write a song, but I think I'll know when it's the day that I want to write about.
A real estate dude came over to look at our house. We might be moving. Wee hee. Nowhere far, just maybe closer to my school. Pretty cool. I love moving. I've lived here so long. It's just time to move, y'know? Moving is fun.
I picked out my authors for English class. We only are supposed to read one, but we have to make a list of five in case our top choice isn't available.
Ken Kesey - One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Jack Kerouac - On The Road
Oscar Wilde - The Picture Of Dorian Gray
John Fowles - The Collector
Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice
"One Flew…" etc interested me because it's about crazy people. And I can see the movie. With Jack Nicholson. I mean, not *with* him, I mean, he won't be sitting beside me and watching it with me, but I mean, he's *in* it.
There's something about Jack Nicholson. I don't know what. But in Tommy when he came on the screen I was like "JACK!!!1!1!!1 HEE!!!1!1!". For no particular reason. I have some sort of hidden slight obsession. Well, not obsession. But there's just something about him. Maybe it started with Head. Yeah, that's probably it. It's always The Monkees fault.
"On The Road" is like some freaky hippie beat generation freak out acidy road trip uh… thing. So that's rather intriguing.
"The Picture Of Dorian Gray" I started to read the plot (on Wikipedia, of course!) and found it rather interesting. That's all I have to say about that.
"The Collector" is about this dude who collects butterflies, then adds this chick to his collection and wants her to love him. Or something. I probably picked this one because of my collections. And that episode of the Simpsons. Comic Book Guy is so cool.
"Pride And Prejudice", well, I'm hoping I don't get this one. I probably won't. Because I doubt anyone else will pick any of my other choices, except maybe "One Flew…". But if I do get this one, I can ask my mom for help because she's read it. Or seen the movie. Or something.
But yeah. I noticed a lot of these novelists are pretty strange. They're all involved in, well… not very popular, mainstream, uh… things? I don't know. Writers. Bah. Weirdoes.
Well, I've tried to be a writer before. I'm actually being a writer now. And I'm pretty strange. But I'm not weird on their level. Maybe I'm one level above them.
