I was quite disappointed tonight. I liked Brenna, but I can understand her leaving. She’s gotten quite a bit *too* obnoxious. I was also beginning to like David, but I understand his leaving as well. He just did the Rat Pack type stuff the whole time, he needed to show us he could do something different. He’s just not really American Idol.
I was also VERY disappointed with Sway leaving. Now, I didn’t care much for Sway, but I wanted Kevin OUTTA THERE! I mean, I cheered when he was put into the bottom three, but then they say Sway’s out. Grr. I think partly why I don’t like him is because he’s going to be “the next sex symbol”. I mean, cor. When I think sex symbol, I think of big haired, bare chested, fringe wearing Roger freaking Daltrey! Not this little funny little short dorky kid with glasses!
Now, this has always bugged me. After they are voted out, they’re asked to sing.
You were voted out because we, the viewers, didn’t like your singing. They’re asked to say something to their fans. “Well, thanks for supporting me, even though you did a CRAPPY JOB!” If I was just voted out, I wouldn’t want to go and sing another song for these people who don’t care!
On the other hand, if I won, I wouldn’t want to sing, because I’d be freaking out! But I think I’d rather have to sing under those circumstances, you know? ;)
