About Me

  • My name is Jenny and I'm a first year university student studying computer science. I'm really awesome.

Yesterday was a nice day. On Friday night, I had a sudden urge to play harmonica. So on Saturday, dad took me out and I got a harmonica. I felt so smart. The dude was showing us the harmonicas and I'm like "I want a 10 hole, diatonic harmonica in the key of C, for around $20". And that's what I got. Cool.

I'm not very good at it. I've played a few songs for mom, but she can't figure any of them out. I'm trying to learn Blueberry Hill, Blowin' In the Wind, and Bad Moon Risin'. Once I'd told my mom it was Blowin' In The Wind, she could hear it. But the other ones, well, not so much. I think it sounds like it though. And she couldn't figure it out when I played You've Got To Hide Your Love Away on guitar. And that's like one of her favourite Beatles songs too. Geesh. People.

Watched the end of Rear Window the other day. Looked interesting. I hope it's on again, I'll watch it all the way through.

Saw all of Sunset Blvd. last night. Thought I missed the first ten minutes, but it was on TVO or something and they were doing a fundrasing drive call in thing, so I didn't miss any of it. :) It's a little strange. But good, I suppose. I didn't realize it was the "I'm ready for my close up" movie until the end when Norma was all "cameras? *spaced out*" Heh heh.

So I've seen two and a quarter movies in that last week or so on IMDB's top 250 list. Cool. I've wanted to watch them all, but I don't think I will. I mean, the Godfather, I don't really have any desire to see it. And I don't really want to watch films in another language, I think there's a few of those up there.

Speaking of good movies, I've also looked at good novels lists and wanted to read a bunch, but I don't think I'll ever do that either. Got The Picture of Dorian Gray today.

Would you believe it's only $4 on Amazon? Insane! I thought every thing was super expensive today! But no! I was amazed. I suppose it makes sense that DVDs and electronic entertainment are more expensive.

Good old books. I mean, no one reads those any more!
