Got out early today, so that was nice. In English, I was sure we were gonna do work but then… "okay, let's watch Family Guy!" the teacher says, so that was also nice. In Computers, the teacher was talking to me about a programming contest thing and I said I'd join, so that was nice too. Nice nice.
Jada and I set out on our adventure after school. First time I've been on a bus… well… for a very long time. Too much, Magic Bus! Well, it wasn't really a magic bus, so it was a little disappointing. But I was singing Magic Bus in my head. So… yay. Absolutely packed from the time we got in 'til we got downtown. I stood by the doors. Then the doors opened. So I was squished. Ha ha. What a loser. I learned after that though. I moved. La la la.
So yeah, then we got downtown and we went to a record store. We were a little lost at first, but then we figured it out. There were some nice records and whatnot, but nothing that we really had to get. And so then we went to… the market. Because we thought it was the library. But apparently, books and food are quite different things. So then we found the library. What nerds. We get outta school early to go to… the library. We asked where the yearbooks were, but then the dude said we had to request them, and we weren't really that interested, so we said no thanks and left. Then we went to another record store. I was there awhile ago, when I was looking for posters to decorate my drum room, and they had a little Chachi figure, but I didn't see him this time. And I had some dream about Charles In Charge last night… huh… I can't remember what it was, but there was something with driving around a university or something… I don't know…
Anyway, then we went to another record store. Jada got a Jerry Lee Lewis record and I got The Kids Are Alright. I also saw the McVicar soundtrack, which I was gonna get, since I didn't think it was too common, but I was like "meh… it's only Roger…" I mean. Only Roger. Hah! Roger's great… but I really wanted Keither's album on record. I saw it once, when we were in the States. I laughed at his butt, then I moved on. I mean, not that it's a bad butt. But I mean… hah. It was cute. I mean, no! I mean the idea of it. But not his butt. Not that there's anything wrong with his butt… But I mean, butts are generally ugly. I mean, at least, I think so. They're just so… pasty. If that makes any sense at all. I mean. John Lennon's butt. Two Virgins. I didn't really look at it too long, because I was just a young'un. I saw it in a book. I was like "OMGWTFNUDITY!!!1!11!" and closed it. I saw Ringo's butt the other day, in that movie. But that was only for a second. There's quite a few Keith Moon butt pictures I've seen. Among various other disturbing Keith pictures. Mostly amusing ones though. And Roger's butt, in McVicar. That's when I realized butts were ugly. I just saw the butt and I'm like. "Ew… butts are ugly." I mean, of the four, I'd say Keith's butt is the nicest butt. But I mean. Not like I think about these things! Not like I write whole big paragraphs on my blog about these things! What do you think I am?
Anyway, moving on…
So yeah, we went to Tim Hortons. There was a policeman there. Ha ha.
Then we went to the Bus Stop. And took the Magic Bus. Uptown Girl. Ah ha, see what I did there? I just mentioned like three songs! Aha! Hah! And Aha is the name of a group! Oh man!
Ooh, I love this song. O-DOR-O-NO!
Uhm, yeah, sorry, sorry, hyper.
Wait, what then? Okay, we went back uptown. Or whatever you wannt call it. It was a lot less crowded. But I felt weird sitting sideways. I mean, it's just a strange sort of sensation, y'know? It started spitting when we got out of the bus, so we had pretty good timing. Then we went to Jada's house. We watched some James Dean stuff and Just For Laughs and Elvis getting hit by a car. Ha ha. But it seems like Jada secretly loves Elvis. Or she used to, but then she changed her evil ways. Oh, yeah, I'm onto you. :P And then we watched some stuff on the computer. They made fun of Petey's widdle nose. Or rather, his big nose. His big, glorious, nose.
Anyway. That's about all. Then her dad drove me home. And now I'm home. Guh. I'm rather tired.
Hey! The Partridge Family video uses that Monkees font. Far out.
There was some question on Jeopardy today about hippies and Ashbury and I'm like "HAIGHT!" And of course, that's the only question I got. There was a category about Franz Liszt. Ah ha. I've had several urges to watch Lisztomania again lately… but that's probably not a good idea…
EDIT: Woo hoo! Three months of posts down! Nine more to go! Nine… nine… nine… nine…
