This morning they were playing some Star Wars music before class. So, me, in my infinite wisdom informed everyone that today is May the Force. May the Fourth. May the Force. Get it? Ha ha. Me, one of the few people who have not seen any Star Wars films. I think I skipped school once in elementary school in order to not see it. Ha ha.
Anyway, more confused people in the library were informed of this holiday. Emilie just thought I was insane. Oh well.
Heh, I probably would've been just as confused as everyone else, but yesterday my brother informed me that his teacher informed him about this day. So there was a long thing of Michelle told me, and I told her, and my brother told me, and my brother's teacher told him… etc etc. Pretty amusing.
Today was airband. I realized just how cynical I am. During most of it, I can hear Simon Cowell in my head: "boring", "it was like the neverending song", you know, like that sort of thing. But HONESTLY, the music, it WAS like the neverending song. I don't know what any of the songs were (with the exception of two, which I will mention later), and usually I've heard one or two. But NO. I mean, really, did these people just all use the same song? I couldn't tell you even the artist. Not like back in the day when you heard the Beatles and you knew it was the Beatles and not the Stones. This was all just hip hop crap stuff. And all just DANCING. I mean. BLEH. That's nice. Thanks for shaking your butt at me. Now let's not do that again, alright? Oh. You did it again. Thanks a lot. What? Again? This is really getting repetitive. Hey! Stop right there! Don't do that. That is SO five minutes ago.
I mean really.
Now, as I said, I'd mention the two songs that I did know. The teachers did YMCA at the end, which, I mean, come on, everyone knows YMCA. That was good, because they had all the costumes and stuff, but even so, it did get boring after awhile.
After the first two (?) three (?) acts, well, some number of acts, because they all just were the same thing. There was a nice break where there was some GOOD music. I see this kid come on wearing a school boy outfit and I'm like "hmm… could it BE?" and then the kid with the hat comes on and I'm like "YEAH! NOW WE'RE TALKING!" And then the music starts up. WOOO! THUN-DER! THUN-DER! WOO.
But yeah, so the Angus kid was good, he did the duck walk and the spinning thing and just all the Angus stuff. I mean, I'm not a big AC/DC fan at all, but I got it all. I got it. They were good. The music was good. I mean, compared to the other stuff. The drummer, well, I wasn't paying *too* much attention, but he seemed out of beat with the song, but you know, whatever.
And AC/DC won. Which impressed me. I mean, they were obviously the best, but I didn't think other people would see that.
I was thinking today. I need a shirt that says "I am so blogging this!" or something. And then my website on the back. Maybe I'll try CafePress. Hmm…
