So, this year at school they're having elections for student council.
I missed the assembly in the morning where they do all their campaign type stuff, but went to the one in the afternoon. Apparently in the morning the one girl forgot there was someone else running and hadn't done their speech yet and said it was over or something, so everyone booed her. Now, I can't see that as being part of her election plan. OBVIOUSLY, people are going to realize someone didn't say their speech, so OBVIOUSLY someone's going to say something and the person is going to get to go. So that would be a STUPID plan, and let me tell you, this girl is not stupid. She could've been nervous and forgot or something, and I heard it was running kind of late, so maybe she just wanted to wrap it up. I mean, there was this one time in History and, I think Jada was my partner, and she was like "how did I do?" and I said "I don't know, I wasn't paying attention, I was too nervous about my own speech". So I can see it as an honest mistake.
But anyway, in the afternoon they'd changed it so it didn't happen again.
So they had people go up for grade reps and a few other things, but there were only one person running for each of the things! I mean, what's the POINT?
Then for treasurer there was this one girl who seemed to know what she was doing, then a guy and a girl who were going to be co-treasurer or something, and they came on and ran into each other like BOOYEAH. You know? No, I don't know. But it was like, what was the point of THAT? So I'm voting for the one girl.
Then there was something for publicity and the girl made a video. She's putting up a poster in the video that says AIR BAND or something, and this dude comes up to her and is like "yo, when's air band?" and she's like "this Thursday at lunch" and he's like "yo, cool". And then they do that a few times, and IT BUGGED THE HELL OUTTA ME because HER BACK WAS TURNED TO THE CAMERA THE WHOLE TIME. Obviously, not a Drama student. And if she is, then shame on her. And then at the end he's like "yo, when's the dance?" and she's like "GOD, DON'T YOU PEOPLE LISTEN!!!!!!!" and I was thinking "THE BLOODY POSTER SAYS "DANCE" — THAT'S IT! YOU DIDN'T SAY WHERE OR WHEN OR HOW MUCH OR ANYTHING YOU BLOODY IMBECILE!!!" I think my mouth actually dropped open and I wanted to yell something out. I mean COR BLIMEY. I should've run for that! I coulda made so many nice posters for around the school, because let's face it, the ones up now are all CRAP and BORING and TIMES NEW ROMAN!!!!
And another thing - the campaign posters - AWFUL! They all should've hired me to make campaign posters, because seriously, with my posters, I bet you would get a least one person voting just because your posters KICK THE OTHER POSTERS ASSES! And what the hell, you don't take a picture of yourself with a webcam and put it on posters saying you want to be president. I MEAN WTF!!! If I was running for president, I'd get a picture of myself wearing a nice suit and doing a nice pose, or maybe going EEEEYY or something, ANYTHING BUT A CRAPPY QUALITY TINY PICTURE I TOOK WITH MY WEBCAM!!!

Now, voting for vice president is going to be tough. Because both candidates had webcam posters! Now, the guy, he didn't put his posters up 'til like today, so that's minus one point. I liked his presentation better, his was more entertaining and he seems like a righteous dude. The girl started hers with some song, I don't know what it was, which means I don't like it. But I won't minus a point for that because it's not fair. The girl seems like the obvious choice, she seems like she'd do a better job, but the guy's promise to clean the girl's bathrooms is tempting…
Uh, and again, with the non drama people. She had her friends do a few skits, which I would love to tell you about, except for the fact THAT YOU COULDN'T HEAR A BLOODY WORD THEY SAID! EVEN WITH THE MICROPHONE! "Duuuur, uh, I put the round part up to my mouth and talk? Really? I thought I was supposed to hold it TO MY ASS!"
Okay, okay, I'm sorry, they didn't do *that*, but they might as well have!
For president, I've gotta say, both girls trying out had good speeches, and I think it will be fine if either one wins. However, one of them spoke to me the other day and asked if she had my vote. Sure, I had no idea what she was talking about at the time (stoner, me, what, never!), but it's still a nice thought. And what you're SUPPOSED TO DO! Talk to the people! Come on!
Unfortunately, I don't think she'll win. She's not the most popular person in the school, but she BLOODY WELL WORKS HARD AND DESERVES ALL THE GOOD STUFF SHE GETS! It pisses me off that people are always "ooh, she won another award, that's no fair" all the time, because SHE DESERVES IT. And you're all going to be working/living on the streets, while she is at home with her maid and butler and mansion and her big pool, that she EARNED because she has a GOOD JOB and makes us all look like BLOODY IDIOTS.
