About Me

  • My name is Jenny and I'm a first year university student studying computer science. I'm really awesome.

I don't feel like I got much done today, but I suppose I did.

Memorized all my lines for Macbeth. Unlike some people. *cough* :)

Went to the library to get a copy of my short story, but they only had a little kid fairy tale one with lots of pictures. She called the other library to see if they had a different one, and so we were waiting around a lot, and then they didn't have it. And I just figured "you should've just borrowed the one from the school library, dumbass. Now everyone's trying to help you!" I don't like people going out of their way to do things for me. I mean, yeah, they work at the library, it's their job to help people find what they're looking for right? But I mean, and my mom was all "oh, I have to do gardening" and so I didn't want her driving all the way to the other library to get me a stupid book I can go get tomorrow at school! I mean, I'm lazy, I like people to make me food, buy me stuff, clean my house, you know. ;) But I don't like people doing things for me, you know? I don't even know myself.

Anyway, then we went to Value Village to get a costume for Macbeth, we found a double extra extra large set of men's pajamas for like ten bucks, so I said just buy them. I didn't want to have to go looking all over for some outfit I'm going to wear once. And my mom needed to get home to do things. I mean, what the hell. She gets up, goes to work, comes home, and goes to work again!?!? Cleaning everything!?!? I mean, how does everything get so messy? I mean, I know I'm messy, but I've been cleaning up after myself for quite awhile! Man, I don't want to be a mom. Stupid kids.

What else? Well, I finally got the mess all cleaned off my desk. And sort of organized my book shelf. Cleverly moved my Monkees stuff higher up, because there's a lot of stuff Rolo could knock over.

Still got a bit more to do in my room, but it's better than before. Still need posters.

Oh yeah, and in case I haven't mentioned already, here's my summer-fall concert schedule thus far:

- Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young: avec Jada
- Ringo Starr: avec mon famille on vacation
- Eric Clapton: avec mon famille in the fall

And then the tentative concerts…

- The Who: once the US dates are announced, I'll probably be going with my family, but maybe I'll be sitting in a different section than them (ie. front row) :) … not bloody likely …
- Michael Nesmith: I mean, come on, Mike, you released a new album… now go on tour!!!

So, after Ringo, I'll have seen all the Beatles I can see. Sniff. And then if I can see The Who and Mike, well… that's everybody. Wow. If Led Zeppelin or The Doors ever do anything though, they'll be next. And anyone else I guess the rest of my family is going to.

It's a shame really. I'm not really a big concert person. My first two concerts, Sugar Jones and Davy Jones, were my favourite. I'm such a pessimistic person. I mean, after those, I kind of lost the whole spark. Oh yes, and Peter Tork. That was another good one!

Hey! Peter! It's all your freakin' fault! You're why I don't enjoy concerts as much as I did before! Because yours was just so awesome, and you were so just there, not, like, untouchable, and everybody since then has been! Untouchable, I mean. The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney… I can't go and actually meet them! And I suppose my parents would not support me if I decided to start a career as a groupie. I mean, well… there are just SO many things wrong with that whole idea. I mean, but, well… okay, okay, I'm not even going there!

Anyway, what was this all about? Not concerts!

Right, right, what I accomplished today.

I did start my annotated bibliography. Checked and double checked all the format and stuff, so I hope it's okay. Finished the first source. I've got all the other four sources found, but only one with point form notes. One I found today is literally ten thousand words long, so it's gonna take awhile to write that one out.

So, yeah, that's about it. What do I have left to do?

- five Computer Engineering tests (!!!)
- take notes for Computer Engineering exam
- finish extra Math unit
- Math summary
- annotated bibliography
- short story rough notes
- short story selection thing
- extra Math unit quiz
- present Macbeth scene
- English in-class essay
- Computer Science final project

Phew. Okay. The first seven I really need to work on, the others are all done at school. And tomorrow's the carnival, so I won't get to do anything in computers. Ah well.

Right. Oh yeah, I slept in today. It was lovely. My mom's like "wake up". So I sit up. She leaves. I fall back down and go to sleep. Twenty minutes later my mom's like "are you up yet?!?". And I wake up and go "oh crap". Ha ha. Lovely. I think that was really the only time I've slept in. Wow.
