Yesterday we stopped at our first Ross, so I finally got to buy some clothes. And I bought A LOT. So I’m happy.
Then we saw a music store nearby called… Tower Records! Well, this may not be too impressive, but to me it was pretty cool. You see, in the Sgt. Pepper’s movie they go to a Tower Records! And I even got a cool bag that was yellow and red and said Tower Records!
There were like FOUR John Entwistle CDs – I only got The Rock and Too Late The Hero. There was also All Things Must Pass for cheap there, but it had to go back along with Whistle Rhymes and Mad Dog.
At the last minute I thought to look in the soundtrack section. I headed for the “S” section. I looked for the “SG” section. And then I found it. Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band soundtrack. My jaw dropped open and I’m quite surprised I didn’t scream. But then I turned it over. “Twenty bucks! Who the hell would pay twenty bucks for this!?!?”
The answer? Me, of course.
I think there are very few people in the world who would choose The Bee Gees and Peter Frampton over George Harrison. Hah. I mean, I still love George. But come on, ATMP is everywhere. Where can you find Sgt. Pepper!?
Anyway, that’s all that happened yesterday.
Today we went on the road again. Not very eventful. Except, I saw a sign that said:
I SCREAM!
YOU SCREAM!
MILKSHAKES!
And I thought it was just hilarious. My brother didn’t find it that funny, though.
On the way we went to two more Ross stores and I bought a bunch more clothes. Less than last time though, but still a lot. But I think I’m done shopping for the year.
Mom and dad and me went to Cheesecake Factory for supper. I had pepperoni pizza and split an Oreo cheesecake with mom. The cheesecake was AWESOME but I was already full from the two slices of pizza, so we didn’t eat it all. Quite a shame, really.
