Well, I don't have too much to say about this concert. Most of the songs I didn't know, and most of those songs were looong with looong solos. So I didn't enjoy that too much.
My brother said he "didn't give you time to think" between songs. He just went from one right to the next.
I don't know the first song he played, but I think the second was "I Shot The Sheriff".
He played a few more songs, then did an acoustic set, then I guess a few more songs. At some point he did "After Midnight". And then (get your lighters ready!) "Wonderful Tonight"/"Layla"/"Cocaine". Which, I suppose, was the best part. Although, you would think, a song like Layla would go on forever with a solo here and a solo there, here a solo, there a solo, everywhere a solo solo. But no. It was as short (well, if you can call it that), if not shorter, than the original version.
I think I understand the reasoning behind that though. I mean, that's his big song. That's the song everyone wants him to play. So he probably gets sick of playing it, you know?
Then there was another song, I believe, and then they left. Clap, clap. Clap for Clapton.
We had pretty nice seats. Closer than at CSNY, which I liked. And the screens were actually turned towards the audience this time. What a good idea! Anyway, I like especially when you can see when the performer comes on to the stage, like at Jerry. There was a little curtain on the other side of the stage, down some stairs. And that's where they came out.
Back out for the encore. Yay. Start clapping again. Clap for Clapton.
They played only one song, I think. Another one I didn't know. And then they left. More clapping. And then the lights came on. There was supposedly supposed to be another encore, but not tonight. Oh well.
It's just not the same when you don't know the songs. You know?
Anyway, it was okay overall. It was like Bon Jovi, because I didn't know many of the songs. And because they went on so darn long.

I know this has nothing to do with your post, but why do you be webmistress [at] coolcherrycream [dot] com? Do you do this to protect yourself from spiders? I just wanted to know because I put my email on my website and I received 2 pointless emails full of jibberish that made no sense both saying the same thing from 2 different people whom I never gave my email to.

Yep, you're exactly right. I don't think the spambots can find you if you don't use the @ sign. ;)
