This whole taking English all four years in high school thing is a steaming pile of SHIT.

They don’t even force you to take Math or anything else every year. Only English.

You know, there are people who are good at Math and Science, and then there are people who are good at English and Arts.

I’m beginning to think that I’m neither, but that’s another story. However, if I had to pick one area that I excel in, it would be Math.

WE LEFT BRAINS ARE AT A DISADVANTAGE HERE!

WHY must we be forced to endure something that our silly little minds were programmed to have trouble understanding, when the right brainers get drop Math after grade eleven?

It is completely and utterly unfair.

Upon examining at my Calculus and my English courses, I discover that there is really nothing that I am going to use ever again in my life. I’m not going to stumble across derivatives in my daily life; and no one is going to care that I don’t understand “Fugitive Pieces”. “Make beauty necessary. Make neccessity beautiful.” Uh… riiight.

So if no one cares, then why do *I* care?

Because it is UNFAIR and UNJUST.

When fifty percent of the population is at such a disadvantage, it is truly a CRIME!

Fellow left brainers! This is your call to action!

TURN ON, TUNE IN, AND DROP OUT… OF ENGLISH!

But honestly. The worst part of it is, I *know* I’m taking English in summer school.

So WHY must I stay here? Why must I get frustrated every day over this stupid class? EVERY SINGLE DAY.

If I wasn’t me, which I’m not, I’d probably tell myself to chill and just stick it out for the next few months.

But if I wasn’t me, I’d probably be one of THEM! One of those RIGHT BRAINERS! One of those right brainers who were able to INFILTRATE the Ontario education system and FORCE us left brainers to suffer four years of ENGLISH!

SOMEBODY. PLEASE!

I know I can’t save myself. Things just don’t happen that quickly. I will have to continue this final year of English if I ever want to get my high school diploma.

But there’s still hope for the future.

We need to get rid of this mandatory English class – for the future left brainers of our generation. They don’t deserve this cruel and unusual treatment. Think of the children. Won’t somebody PLEASE think of the children?

I need an analogy here.

Would you put a child without a life jacket on a sinking boat? Of course not. And whyyy not? Because they haven’t been given the proper equipment in order to survive.

And you know what? About half of the world was not “given” the proper equipment to survive four years of hell (in other words, English class).

So my plea to you, if you are anyone that can *do* anything, is this:

Make English an optional course.

Or at the very least, make those right brainers suffer through another year of math.

Go on, Calculus! Sic ‘em!
