But no. I got my English essay back today. The one entitled "The Study of Liberal Arts versus Occupational Training". The same one that was ridiculed by my teacher who said, "ooh… is there going to be a fight?"
I got it back today. The teacher placed it on my desk happily. I was confused.
I opened it carefully. I looked at the rubric.
Four fours?
And that's out of four, by the way. For those of you who don't understand the level marking system. Level four is the bestest you can get!
My mouth kind of just opened involuntarily. And I sat there. "Uhh…"
Thoughts raced through my mind: this must not be my paper… did my parents bribe her?… or did they threaten her…?
But no. She even remarked to the class about my mark.
UHHH.
But you know what? It was a cool assignment. It wasn't POINT. PROOF. EXPLANATION.
I used to think I liked really rigid structured assignments, but on this one, I just got to write. And as my parents often tell me, "if you could just write like you write on your blog, you would do good!"
And they also tell me not to talk about Roger Daltrey shirtless on my blog.
