Ohh what a clever title. I guess cleverness comes with age.

I had several revelations last night, which I will get to eventually.

Anyway, we went to Niagara Falls for the New Years/Eve party stuff. We got there at about eleven, at the end of Foreigner's first set. Then there was another dude, Justin Hines, I think. He was that kind of country slow poppy kind of genre that I don't like, so I didn't really like his set. He only did two songs though. And then they said this other guy would be there, Colin James, who my brother wanted to see, but then I guess he must have left or the Woodstock people wouldn't pay him and his drink and everything was spiked with LSD so he wouldn't go on until really late, or really early, if you prefer to look at it that way, and then the sun would come up just as he was singing "See Me, Feel Me".

Oh, wait, no that was The Who. But anyway, we didn't see him. Oh well.

Then Foreigner did another set. They were pretty good, but it was pretty miserable, which kind of made the concert seem suckier. You couldn't see anything but umbrellas, and half the time the screens weren't on. I tried taping some of it on my new camera phone, but when I listened to it today, it sounded like there was a really really excited crowd, which there most certainly was not, ha ha. But it was all high pitched squeaking and ouchness, although I could make out some of "Feels Like the First Time".

If I was ever in a band, I would not ever want to play in the rain, because unless you do the best set you have ever done and your crowd is all really big fans, overall, it will be pretty sucky. So that kind of sucked, but all miserable soaked through to the skin-ness aside, they were pretty good.

Their drummer is Jason Bonham, and I was kind of disappointed because I couldn't see him at all. At one point, my dad turned to me and asked "…and what band was John Bonham in?"

*shakes head*

Oh god. My brother was even more upset than I was, I think. And rightly so. Heh heh.

Now, my first revelation was when they had the "4" from their album cover on a screen or something.

"Wait… FOREigner? FOUR! Ha ha!"

Yes, I am slow.

The last song they did was, well, actually, I don't know the name of it, but he said "sing along everybody, I was everybody singin', you know the words!"

And you know? Whenever someone says this, I am pretty much guaranteed to not know the song! Geesh.

I was thinking back to the Ringo concert while going home, and I think one of the guys there had said that as well. And then, another revelation!

"Ringo STARR, and all-STARS! Whoa!"

Yes yes, have your laugh.

I also realized that while sixteen had quite a few songs, so does seventeen. But really, the only one that matters, actually, I am not sure of the name of, but I can sing along, for I do know the words.

When I was seventeen
I drank some very good beer
I drank some very good beer
I purchased with a fake I.D.
My name was Brian McGee
I stayed up listening to Queen
When I was seventeen

And by the way, happy new year. Woo hoo.
