Okay, so I think I've done the "post-a-day" thing long enough, so no more "blah. feeling crappy. post tomorrow" posts just for the sake of posting, because really, they just take up space.

Yesterday was a nice day. I played drums for probably the first time in about a year. Has it really been that long? Wow. Anyway, it was nice. But I mean, it's so much easier and funner to play guitar because it can ACTUALLY SOUND LIKE THE SONG. Drums on the other hand… not so much. Unless I'm playing "Moby Dick" or summat, and in the case, it wouldn't sound like the original if I'm playing it. I figured out how to play "When The Levee Breaks", though. I read some drum tutorials on the internet today and found that my big problem is, uh, I think this is the word, syncopation. But yeah.

I also was cleaning out my bookmarks, so that was fun. I started looking at some drawing tutorial sites and attempted to draw myself. I was really pleased with it, although I only did half the face, because I knew I would screw it up if I tried to do the other half. Now looking at it, it's not as great as I thought it was, but still probably the most realistic drawing I've ever done. I don't really like to do realistic drawings. I prefer cartoony exaggerated noses and stuff.

Last night we went to my cousin's stag and doe party. It was nice. And Gerry's last name is Marsden, apparently.

Every year around this time I have a discussion with my mom about George Harrison and the matter of his birthdate. I personally go by February 24, because as I know it, he was born at like 11 something at night on the 24th, but all his life he thought it was the 25th. But, seeing as some people still don't agree with this, I propose a two day celebration instead. After all, he deserves it. He is George Harrison, after all!

So I was thinking today. Cleaning out my bookmarks again and found some old Helpgame sites. Personally, I think the Sgt. Pepper outfits were never real, seeing as we only have the one angle of them and seeing as they seem a bit more detailed than the rest. But there was that site that had a bunch of sprites from the game, and there were the suits! So now, I just don't know.

But since no one really knows what I'm talking about, this "Helpgame" thing, I shall get to my true point. Since Helpgame no longer exists (*tear*), I decided we need a new game. I was thinking maybe I could make another Beatles game, but then I realized I wouldn't ever finish it because I'm just not dedicated to the Beatles enough.

So who am I dedicated to? That's right.

My first idea was to make it pretty much just like Helpgame. I'm always on about "boo copying" but I mean, that's only when people copy me, right? ;) And don't you love how "me" looks surrounded by em's? I do.

Anyway, then I was like, well, I don't want to do exactly the same thing. But there's like the concert at the end, and that could be something like Lifehouse. And then I'm like, hell, why not just make the entire thing Lifehouse?

Yes yes. Awesome.

There are several obstacles here, though.

First of all, I don't know how to code tile-based games. I do have a tutorial that seems nice, but I mean, it takes time to learn how to do these things.

Secondly, even if I can make these tile-based games, I'm going to need to make it so that there can be multiple players, like with Helpgame. And no way am I going to be able how to figure out how to do that!

Now, that truly would make the game awesome, but I simply am not capable of that. If someone else is, then please PLEASE do this.

So, instead of learning ActionScript and whatever else, why not use something I already know? Sure, I could make a text-adventure in Java, but, eh, boring!

Why not make an RPG with RPG Maker? Duh!

I made a few of these games for my friends on their birthdays a few years ago. Pretty awesome of myself, I do think. I wish someone would make *me* a game. It's just no fun if I make them for myself.

I did make one pretty cool game based on The Monkees "Fairy Tale" episode. Actually, I remembering telling one of my online Monkee friends about that a loooong time ago, and said I would put it on Sunshine Factory, but umm… well, that hasn't happened. Probably won't. :/

Another problem I can see with this is the file size. Humungo! Now, while I admit, I don't think I'll be getting many people downloading it, it still could be a problem. I can always host it somewhere else, but eh… we'll see.

First things first though, I need to make this game. One thing I haven't decided yet is WHO the player will be. Ray seems the obvious choice. It would be nice to have a choice between Ray and Sally though, you know? I mean, it's like with Pokemon. In Red and Blue you were always that dude, and it wasn't until like Gold and Silver that you could be a girl. And that was awesome! I don't want to be an icky boy! But I mean, I think mixing up Sally and Ray's roles just wouldn't work.

And ANOTHER thing is that I'll need some Who midis. I have a bunch saved, but not that many Lifehouse songs, which will obviously have to be the soundtrack. I could probably hire my brother to tab some, but I don't know how well I would do transcribing ol' Moonie.

But one thing I DO know, is that in the scene with the camper van, with the air-conditioner, the song will be "Goin' Mobile". Ohh yeah.

Also, I'm reading up a bit on Lifehouse, since I need to understand it if I'm making an adaptation of it, and also I need to not get sued by Pete unless of course that means I get to meet him in court, but I also don't remembering the ending being just "everybody goes POOF!"? I mean, the game needs a goal. The goal is to put on the concert, or, I suppose, if you're Ray, to get to the concert? So once you achieve this goal you… just go POOF? I don't know, kind of, well, not much of a reward.

Unless there's something with the Mirror Door going on, and we see Elvis, Buddy, and Eddie C? But that's going to be a hell of a lot of pixelly people to make.

But I mean, if that's the way the story ends, that's the way it ends. I can't change it. This is the end, my only friend, the end. Fade to black, roll credits, you know?
