I’m doing some research for my Lifehouse game. It can get pretty frustrating because I have to look everywhere to find little bits of info, and a lot of the information conflicts with the rest. Well, this is Pete we’re talking about here, so it’s to be expected. :)

Also, I’m wanting to have a bunch of characters based on characters in Who/solo songs, and so I’m like “okay, so we’ll have Ray and Ruth and… oh wait, Ray’s already a farmer”. And then I think, “okay, so then we’ll have Leila and Josh and Gabriel and Rayyy — oh wait…”. Ray is just bloody everywhere, isn’t he?

I’m kind of confused about the way, well, just everything is. What I believe thus far is that people live in their experience suits and never go outside. But now, do they live in actual houses, like we do? What’s the point of that though, assuming they just sit in this suit and don’t move around? Or maybe just one room houses? Actually, I think I read something about living in tubes underground? Which would make sense, I guess but… well, doesn’t work too well for how I’ve planned out the beginning.

Then if people are all supposed to be in their suits underground or wherever, where am I going to put Tommy and Jimmy and Sally and Lily, etc, etc? But then I found out that there actually *are* people on the surface, and these are the wasted teenagers, the hippies and scum. But I’m guessing they aren’t *really* scum, they just appear that way to Ray and Sally and the people who don’t really know what’s going on. And Jumbo and friends assume they’re scum. But they aren’t really, right? They’re just a bunch of mods and punks.

One part that I read that made me very happy was about “Baba O’Riley”. I was thinking about the final “scene” and how the end of BOR would work really well to building up to the “one note” and then POOF!, you know? And whaddaya know, that’s what Pete intended, apparently. Awesome. I get it, Pete.

So yeah. I usually don’t like to do a lot of planning when making games, but considering I can only get a 30-day trial, I’m going to make all the characters and backgrounds and stuff and then download the trial and then hurry and finish it in 30 days. Sounds like I’ve got my March Break all planned out. :)

A Lifehouse game? That’s the awesomest thing ever!

If you need any help with the storylines or anything, just ask and I’ll try.

I hope so! I have to warn you though, I’m a major procrastinator, sooo… heh heh. ;) I’m gonna try to actually finish this game for once, but it’ll be a lot of work. I’ll definitely ask if I need any help, thanks! :)
