Found this site on Digg: Can you name 50 states in 10 minutes?
I couldn’t, so I’ll have to use the Canadian excuse. I got 41/50 as well as the made up state of “District of Columbia”, despite my knowing it was in — oops, no hints to state names here. ;)
I missed 4, 15, 18, 27, 29, 36, 44, 45, and 49. I tried something similar once when I couldn’t sleep and I did a little better, probably because it wasn’t timed.
And as many people asked on the comments on this site, I wonder how many Americans could name our ten provinces/three territories, hmm?
Those Canadians just had to go and say “I tried to remember what states had hockey teams“! Typical.
