Yesterday myself and some of my friends went to go see our school's production of "Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat", which another one of my friends was also a part of, and it was pretty good. I rather liked how they had like a bajillion different style of music in it. And also some cool go-go-go-Joseph sixties clothes. Which, despite fears from my friend Heather, did not prompt me to jump up on the stage declaring that they were doing it all wrong.
The girl who played the narrator was definitely a good singer, but she did something that bugged me. Well, actually, not her. It was the audience. But man, audiences always bug me. Except for those guys at The Who who were like "a little pot?". They were awesome. Anyway, the first song after the intermission, she's singing the song to the little kids and does this REALLY BIG NOTE! And everyone is like "YEAH WOO!". And I'm like… okay, so she's a good singer. But people do that EVERY TIME. Like on "American Idol" and everything. And so, like, this leads me to believe if I can ever hit one big note like that in my life, people would believe me to be a really good singer. But I think it's kind of stupid when people do things like that. It was like this one time at a talent show or something and this guy was playing guitar and everyone starts cheering when he gets louder, which is when he plays chords, which is SO much easier than playing lead. It was so stupid.
Anyway, there was this one line when this dude (who was really a girl, as were just about all the brothers) is like "don't believe everything you read, dear" and I was like "HA HA HA… umm, wait, was that supposed to be funny or not?". I took it as being funny. But anyway, I'm not getting into that, even though I obviously am by saying that here.
Then today I went with my parents to the University of Waterloo for a tour. It was bloody hot and I am still bloody tired. When we were standing in front of one of the buildings, we suddenly see this guy turn one of the corners and when he got to the grass, he went down on his knees and started crawling, and when on the pavement, stood up and walked. He continued this until he passed us and said "no questions" and carried on.
They have one program that looks quite interesting, but it's actually a specialization that starts in the second year, and even if I'm accepted, I don't know if I'd get in. But the university was nice. It's was very community like, unlike what I believe York is. I think I'd rather have the nice little community feel rather than the big city thing, even though I love the big city, and Toronto has the benefit of being close to concerts. :)
Also today, Jennifer dropped by to give me a Sgt. Pepper's button that she got at the Streetfest, which I couldn't go to because I was at the university thing, so that was cool. My parents went for a walk and came home and told me they found this thing in someone's garbage can… and it was a Tommy soundtrack record! Which was cool, because it has the lyrics from the movie, and I've been trying to figure out what that line in "Champagne" is, because I knew it when I went to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, but then forgot it, and it is in actuality "merchant bankers and yachts at Cannes". Cool, huh?
And in other news, I've added a page that has links to all the fan fiction and other creative writing things I've done and that is located at the Fan Fiction page. I reread some of the stories to fix them up a little, but one that needed no fixing was "Who Sues", which I reread and found absolutely hilarious. Anyway.
