"It's only a t-shirt!"
"You're only there for one more year, anyway."
That's what they say. Why should I care? It's a trivial matter, and it won't affect me for long anyway.
Why do I care? Honestly?
To tell the truth, I'm a little paranoid. I don't want to say anything bad, because my opponents will use it against me and run commercials about how I'm bad. But I know that's unrealistic, and my life is not a TV show.
We go to school for how long? Nine to three, six hours times five days… that's 30 hours a week we spend there. That's a long time. And we've been here, some of us, for fourteen plus years. That's a long time.
The school has a lot of power and influence over us, even if we don't want to admit it. They do. They help form our opinions about the world and the people in it. No matter how hard you try to fight it, they do. When you're that young, you don't know any better. The school has enough control over us already.
You know, I know I've said it before, but I'm not entirely sure why I'm fighting for it either. But something's telling me I need to. This is important.
