So it's been a busy time. Let's see…

Last Saturday morning I went with my mom to get my nails done. I've never had my nails done, nor have I ever been inclined to get them done, but she told me it was a sort of graduation present for me, as well as a present for herself. So it was nice, but not all that exciting.

Then we went to go pick up my new glasses. I was supposed to get three pairs, two normal and one pair of sunglasses, but supposedly the glasses I picked were too wide and my pupils aren't in the centre of the lens, so I can't have them or something. Laaame. And I don't like any of the small sunglasses. I mean, even my regular glasses are small, and it's weird going from the huge John Lennon glasses to like normal people sized glasses. I can't look up and actually be able to see anymore, I have to actually move my entire head, so as I'm sure you'd understand, ever since getting these new glasses, I've been really tired.

After that we went to get my hair cut. I've been meaning to get it cut and dyed for awhile, and then with graduation I now had an excuse. I didn't have any idea what I wanted, except Jane Asher red, which is what I've wanted for the past few years. It still isn't quite Jane Asher red, which is closer to orange, but I'm happy with it. When the hairstylist went to cut my hair though, I was pretty scared because he started cutting waaay up by my chin! I only asked for it to be cut a little past my shoulders. But, never fear, for he was just layering it.

People have told me I should get my hair cut in layers for awhile, but ever since grade seven, I get pretty nervous when people suggest doing that to my hair, for my last hair cut where I actually changed the style (as opposed to the time I cut off like ten inches for charity, aww), I ended up hating because I looked like David Cassidy. So to me, for a long time, layers meant I would look like a boy.

But this time, I just let the guy do his thing, and it turned out really good. Since I didn't have my glasses on while he was dyeing and cutting it, I couldn't see what it looked like. I was really afraid it was going to be that really fake looking red, you know? But, like I've said, it's all good, I like it.

So, next day I went to Wonderland with Jennifer and Alison and their other friend Jen, who I'd met when we went to see our school's musical. Jada was originally supposed to come with us, but now she is working like the square she is and couldn't come.

Let's see, do I feel like writing any more today? I've got a lot to write about. Well, let's see about Wonderland today, and then the next burst of excitement a little later.

Anyway, my parents drove us to Wonderland because my mom got tickets from her work. My parents left and we went on a few smaller spinny rides, which are exactly the kind my parents don't like to go on and therefore wouldn't want to go on with me when we went there, so that was nice. Actually, I haven't been to Wonderland since I was really really little, so I didn't remember any of it, but it's like any other amusement park.

There were a few rides that some of us didn't want to go on, like the 360 pirate ship, so some of us ended up riding while the others waited. I, however, was a good sport about it all and went on everything, except for The Drop Zone, which I'd been warned previously was really really scary.

Then we went for lunch, which we got free from my mom's work, so that was cool. Met with my parents, split up again. Went on maybe a few more small spinny rides, as well as some wet ones. There's this one crazy one where you're in these rows of chairs and it spins around and there's a fountain below which bursts up water every once in awhile and you get really soaked. The first time it went right up the nose, which I wasn't expecting but probably should've been, so that was not fun, but after that I seemed to miss most of the water.

Then we went to Laser Tag which was really tiring. A lot of the time I was sitting in an empty corner trying to catch my breath, and we were only in there for like fifteen minutes. After that, I was feeling kind of sick, like in gym when they make you run back and forth to this tape that beeps and you keep running until you don't make it for like two beeps in a row? It was that kind of dizzy tirededness.

Afterwards, we went on Go-Karts, which was scary, because I've never actually driven before. I've only ever played a few driving games and I seriously SERIOUSLY suck at those. So, I was afraid I'd look like a jackass. But they had the pedals colour coded in red and green, so I knew which was which, and it wasn't too bad. The first lap, I went kind of slow, but then I realized I could press harder and it would go faster and then that was really fun. But fucking 32, in front of me the whole time, kept going slow! And every time I tried to change lanes to get in front of him, HE'D change lanes too! And I was quite proud, I never crashed into anybody (though one kid crashed into me!), but I think two times I bumped into the side when the kid in front of my stopped suddenly. So obviously, not my fault. The other people were just dumbasses. But it was great, and I realized I like driving fast.

At the end of the day, we stopped by this sort of giant log ride and stood on the bridge which was labeled the "Splash Zone". Jennifer and Alison had said something about how you get wet just standing on the bridge, so I was like, okay, whatever. Like I said, never been to Wonderland. I was expecting, you know, a little splash. But when that car came down the lane, it was like a slo-mo explosion, where there's a little white splash, and bigger, and bigger, until you're enveloped by it. It was cah-razy! But cool. But stupid, because it was time to go and we were soaked for the car ride home.

So, that's the tale of my weekend. Coming soon is the tale of two universities and a graduation. Yippie.
