Sooo, I don't really have anything to write about, but I'm really bored.
Let's see. Life. Went to Ryerson, when, yesterday? Yeah. Got up early. Not fun. Ryerson is right in downtown Toronto. I was not really looking forward to going to this one because I want to go to a normal university, that's a normal little town in itself, and not a hardly normal little town smack dab in the middle of a hardly normal city.
But you know? Ryerson was really nice. I mean, they say you need to visit the actual campus before picking a university, and you'll just know if you like it or not. And I really liked Ryerson. Now, that doesn't mean I'm going there for sure yet, but it's one of my top choices.
The only problem is that Ryerson is more expensive than the other universities, I guess because it is in downtown Toronto, so I'm paying to live in downtown Toronto. Understandable. But still sucky.
My other two choices are Brock and U of T Mississauga. I'm looking at taking Graphic Communications Management in Ryerson, Communications in Brock, or CCIT in UTM. They're all different programs, but pretty much what I want.
All three of these universities have nice little features that make them different from all the others. The program I'm looking at in Ryerson has a 100% job placement rate and people graduate from it with "multiple job offers", so I've read. Also, it's in Toronto, and I love Toronto (or at least the idea of it), and I can go hop over to the Air Canada Centre for concerts. Although, I will have to be in the nosebleeds, considering I'll be a university student, paying for university. And also, the GCM program has a course in the first year called "Electronic Layout and Typography". Typography. That means FONTS. Hell yes.
I didn't expect I'd like a small school either, and though I don't know how Brock compares to other schools in size, it seemed all very close together when I went there. And it was all connected on the inside, so you don't have to go outside in the winter or anything. And, this is kind of good and bad, but the girl who did the tour for us mentioned that they'd put on the musical "Tommy" a few years ago. Good because, well, it's Tommy! But bad because there's no chance that they'd put it on again when I go there. And she also said something about this one office giving out free homemade cookies during exams time, which is suh-weet.
UTM I didn't like quite so much as the other two. It seemed bigger than the other ones, and not so, I don't know, community like. But every room in residence is single, so that is cool. And they just built a new first year residence, so it would be all nice and not eighties. But mainly the reason I picked UTM is for the program, which I think is actually more math-y than the other ones, which is good in some ways and bad in others.
Anyway, I'm still bored, but don't much feel like writing anymore.
However, I am going to see Nickelback, Aerosmith, Toby Keith, and Def Leppard in the next four days. Woo hoo! Well, half woo hoo. So just woo?
