This, like Nickelback, was another concert I didn't really want to go to, but we were there, so yada yada yada.
I'm told there were more people this time than there were for Nickelback, which I found surprising. We were farther back from the crowd this time and we brought along a blanket to sit on. It was really cold that night, but no rain.
We came later and I can only remember seeing one opening band, but there might've been two. Not too exciting. During the opening acts, I re-enacted "A Hard Day's Night" for my mom, who also didn't really care for the music. She told me I have a bad British accent, but I just said that I was from a different part of England than she was.
My brother and I also came up with a game, that's basically the "Three-Headed Broadway Star" game from "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" where we sing one word of a song at a time, except that we are singing real songs. So I'd sing "mama", he's sing "just", "killed", "a", "man", etc etc. And then it turned into I would say the first word of a song, such as "I'm", and he would try to guess the next word, which might be "too" (except it wasn't, no matter how many times he tried to guess that, I just wasn't thinking of Right Said Fred).
Well, what to say about Toby Keith? I didn't know any of his songs. He apparently did a Ted Nugent song at the end, but other than "Catch Scratch Fever", I don't know any.
The one thing I can say though, is that he, in my opinion, is quite the sell out. As the lights went down, the screens lit up… green. "This Preview Has Been Approved For All Audiences". Great, we have to sit through a commercial before seeing him? And that's what it was. A commercial for Ford, under the guise that it was the adventures of Toby Keith. Even on the Sarnia Bayfest website, beside his picture, there's a little Ford logo. And when you get to thinking about it, didn't someone also mention a big Ford banner on the stage? Hmm.
Anyway, here's a picture. It's a picture of the screen, by the way, since we certainly were not that close.

thats so awesome, I wish I could go to the concert.
