You know, I really want to write a story, but my mind is blank right now. But I suppose I'm doing no good just sitting here and going through scenarios in my head, so I'm just going to start writing! Now!
Once upon a time there lived a girl named Jenny.
"Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do," Jenny sang as she skipped down the street. "Why hello, Mr. Bird!" she said as a bird flew into her face, for her face was so nice and clear that birds flew into it all the time, for they thought it wasn't even there.
"Oh dear!" she said, "Mr. Bird, you are hurt. Let me take you to the hospital", and she did.
"I'm sorry," said the doctor, "but this bird is in terrible pain. Because of your face! Ha ha ha!"
"Well, I never!" said Jenny, as she stormed off, with the bird on her shoulder.
"Yarr, matey," said the bird, "we should become pirates." And that they did.
"Hmm…" Jenny thought, "I could insert any one of the various jokes on The Monkees pirate episode here, and no one would even notice!" She decided against it and continued to sail on, also without singing any Styx songs.
"Boy, it sure is lonely out here on the open sea," remarked the bird. "It certainly doesn't help the story along that there are only two characters and nothing to be seen for miles and miles!"
"Gee, you're right, Mr. Bird," Jenny said and promptly sunk the ship.
