Right now… you could be saving the environment if you knew how to type without looking.

Today in yearbook we somehow got to discussing keyboards, and the neat little trick of switching keys around so that people who don't know how to touch type think the keyboard isn't working. A few days ago I noticed that one of the computers in the business room had the 1 and 2 keys on the numeric pad switched around, but it didn't quite register that I was pressing the "2" key and still getting a "1" when I wanted it. That, my friends, is the beauty of typing without looking. No one's gonna make no fool outta me.

So how can you save the environment right this very second?

Well, I'm assuming you have the light on. And do you really need it? What are you looking at? The computer screen. The computer screen conveniently lights itself up, no need for a light to be on for you to see it.

Of course, if you don't know how to touch type, seeing the keyboard might be a problem if your monitor isn't particularly bright.

So learn how to touch type and turn off the light when using the computer! And check out Blog Action Day.
