I have a ton of things to write about, ranging from not interesting at all to maybe slightly entertaining. But right now I don't feel like writing about those things. I feel like another university post!
I'm kind of overwhelmed right now with everything I have to do, and I kind of just want to go and not have to do any of the preparation stuff. I just want to get into the routine right away. But I know that's not gonna happen.
Apparently we won't be going to the Western open house this weekend because my brother has an appointment or something. Sooo, I won't have the chance to fall in love with another university and fuck everything up. I guess it's for the best.
So, since I basically know I'm going to Brock, and since I basically started out saying "Computer Science at Brock" back in the beginning of grade 11 when I was suddenly aware I'd eventually need to go to university, well… end of sentence. I was reading the Brock student blogs on the website and they talk about going places on campus and cool hangouts and stuff. And it just occurred to me it's gonna be like high school. Sure, the Communications hall may be a cool spot to hang out, but it doesn't mean you can just go there one day and start hanging out there with the kids there and they'll immediately accept you. Because they won't. Unless you're an immigrant. Because that's the immigrant hang out place. They've already claimed it. New grade nines can't just walk in and decide "hey, let's hang out here everyday" because new grade nines just aren't allowed to do that. Just as even if I want to go and watch "Grey's Anatomy" in the TV room every whatever-day-night, I might not be able to if there's already a clique there.
Then we have the money thing, which is only related to the subject in the fact that it has to do with university. Basically, this is how it's gonna be:
(-) tuition * 4 years -$20,018.20
(-) rez * 4 years -$19,380.00
(-) co-op fees +1 -$2,800.00
(-) textbooks * 4 years -$4,000.00
(-) food * 4 years -$14,900.00
Total Liability -$61,098.20
(+) entrance scholarship * 4 years $4,000.00
(+) co-op * 4 months * 3+1 terms $37,606.40
Total Asset $41,606.40
Total -$19,491.80
So yeah. Negative twenty thousand. Nice.
I guess I'll have to do something about that.
…crap.
