There are certain times when I'm overcome with an involuntary sense of anticipation. It's as if life suddenly starts moving in slow motion, even if only for a few seconds. I can feel my fingers pressing down on each key. They seem to move with much more purpose and reason than usual. My pinky extends to reach the Enter key and my heart beats faster.
Is this it? Is this the word that will lead me to the rest of my life? I hold my breath as the page loads — partly because of the whole anticipation thing and partly because I have the hiccups.
I can see it now: the ever recognizable light grey background has loaded. Next comes the sidebar, obviously, as it comes first in the HTML code. The title appears and I let out my breath. I brace myself for whatever new knowledge Wikipedia will bring to me today.
