Anyway, I watched some of the “Celine-Elvis” duet on YouTube. It looked pretty nice, except for the fact that she was so dark and shadowy and he was so bright and white. Cheesy, yes. Kind of disgusting, yes. Kind of nice, yes. I don’t know.

But actually, REALLY TOTALLY AWESOME in another way.

If they can get really awesome looking 3D holograms, then I can see The Who at Leeds, The Beatles at Hollywood Bowl, whatever famous concert you want to see! They can recreate concerts on stage and people can come pay to see people that they would never be able to see otherwise!

Now, true, it’s not the same as the real thing. But it’s as close as people like me are going to get. I mean, it should be cheaper than a concert, because it’s not real, but with all the technology they have to use, it would probably end up costing more. And also, they like to rip us off.

But seriously. That would be awesome. And well part of me thinks, “no! Don’t post this here! Someone will steal your idea!”, part of me knows no one reads my blog, and part of me thinks “hey, if someone else makes these things, then I can be a customer and actually enjoy it!” because if I did somehow make these holographic concerts, I wouldn’t actually get to watch them and enjoy them. I mean, first of all, I’d be working on them, I’d know what the finished product looks like, and I’d nitpick everything that didn’t work out right.

So I’m begging you, somebody, steal this idea, and make my dreams of seeing Keith Moon come true!

First off, Lifehouse. Well, I did plan on putting it online this past weekend, but I then realized that if I did, I wouldn’t be presenting the best product possible. I would have just been rushing to get it online, and it would have turned out to not be worth it because it was so crappy. And also, how is it Lifehouse if it’s on time?

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned before, but I completely support Sanjaya and Vote for the Worst. I decided not to watch this season because there was no one I really liked. I try to catch Sanjaya’s performances either the day of or the next day on YouTube occasionally, but that’s about it. Everyone else, pretty boring.

I decided to check the VFTW site today, seeing as I haven’t in awhile, and read one of the “mailbag” posts, which are always quite entertaining. This one in particular was hilarious:

I was so mad Wednesday night when they announced that Sanjaya was not in the bottom three and therefore NOT GOING HOME THIS WEEK that I was shaking and in a flood of emotional rage caused by this STUPID website and the people that keep voting for Sanjaya I threw my glass of coke at my FREAKING BRAND NEW 65″ HD TV and NOW IT DOESN’T WORK. So now not only is Sanjaya still on American Idol for another week, thanks to you jerks, I can’t even watch the show and the TV warranty won’t cover the damage from what I did. THIS SITE CAUSED THIS PROBLEM SO YOU SHOULD PAY FOR A NEW TELEVISION.

And then we have the Virginia shootings. I mean, terrible thing. I don’t have much to say about it, though I’ve been reading a lot about it tonight. Wikipedia linked to a student from the university’s blog. — I almost said “weblog”. What is wrong with me? — There was also a news report linking to the same blog and they quoted the student as saying something about “no classes today, yay!”.

Now, I mean, just reading that sounds pretty insensitive. But really, you’d have to read the whole thing. I’m sure when people received these emails informing them that classes were cancelled, most people probably didn’t comprehend the magnitude of the situation. I remember on 9/11 hearing about it at school, something about bombings in the States and that they were coming to Toronto next. When I was walking home, I discussed it with a girl who lived on my street and when she left we’d joked that we’d see each other tomorrow if we weren’t dead by then.

So partly this was due to my lack of understanding just how major this was. Also more so due to my age, because I don’t think I was old enough to really understand it.

Anyway, so I don’t know what my point was. I mean, the media taking a quote out of context? That’s nothing new.

So then. I guess that’s all I have to say about that.

Tonight I have started and abandoned several blog entries.

I tried to write another chapter of The Farm, no luck. I tried to write about pancakes, no luck. Vegetarianism, no luck. My new religion, no luck. Wikipedia, no luck.

Nothing!

Right then. I’m done with sitting here, contemplating what to write, because nothing is happening tonight.

Okay, I said I wasn’t going to watch “American Idol”, but I did. But no more. I’m not doing that again. Why? One, waste of time. Two, no good people. Three, Paula is annoying and she should go away for a long time. Four, people STILL boo Simon. Five, commercials. Six, unnecessary commentary. Seven, I can watch it on YouTube anyway.

So no. I’m not watching it anymore. Please shoot me if I do.

Also, I need to start reading again. Someone recommend a nice book to me. And not Harry Potter or A Series of Unfortunate Events or some shit like that. Real novels. Thanks.

But yeah. That’s about all I did today.

And watched “American Idol”. Oh, Paula. What can I say?

Ugh. I have a headache. Don’t really feel like writing. Any road, I’ve got to see the dentist…

Jumped, jumped. Too much water hast thou, poor Idol, and therefore I forbid my tears.

This is not “The Price is Right”. This is not “Let’s Make a Deal”. Stop with the silly outfits. Yes, you will get picked to go onto the judges round, but even if they do show you on TV, you’re not entertaining.

And yes, I know, you know, we all know: you suck. We know you just want on TV, and that’s a fine thing to want. I actually considered (though only for a second) trying out for “Canadian Idol” this year, with the intention of not getting past the judges, and simply being on TV. Yes, that’s a nice thing to want, but come on, you can do better!

I simply can’t believe that all those people last night were let on to believe that they are good. There is no way people are that cruel. I think a lot of them were acting to get on TV. I really hope they were.

But yes, American Idol has jumped the shark. I’m specifically thinking of the one guy with the American flag boxer outfit, and how Simon remarked that they found it completely normal. They were actually taking him seriously! And that is wrong. That is just wrong.

I can’t see how this show is going to manage to last another three, four years, however long Paula or whoever signed the contract for. I also can’t see how Paula is going to last another three, four years. Ha!

Oh Paula, I only ridicule because I was you.

Anyway, I will continue to watch. Last night had no memorable good singers. I’ll watch the rest of the auditions, despite how stupid it’s gotten, and unless I can pick another winner in the first round (Katharine McPhee last year, who would have won if not for VFTW), I won’t watch past that. No. I just don’t have time to waste my life watching these stupid reality shows. And don’t even get me started on Survivor. That jumped after season two, maybe season three. But Idol, if it wasn’t already over (which it probably was), it so is now.

Study hall in English today. And all afternoon. AGAIN! Study hall in Math yesterday. And all afternoon. And study hall all afternoon on Thursday and Friday last week. Lovely that is.

At least I went home. I could’ve went home last class yesterday, but I stayed and worked on Dorian Gray.

Which is due in like less than two weeks. I’m never going to get this done.

As I was walking home today, I turned down my street and… there was my mom! My parents understand me leaving though, so it didn’t really matter. Didn’t have to run away or put on a disguise or anything.

So, anyway, American Idol. Very disappointed.

Okay, and I mean, you knew there was going to be another guest after Ryan’s like “okay, no more guests!” But how anti-climactic! Prince? I mean, okay, not that Prince is REALLY AWFUL or anything, but, IT’S PRINCE!

But then I thought, well really, who does America have that they could bring out and everyone would be “OH MY GOD!”

NO ONE! They had Elvis, but he’s dead. However, if they managed to get Elvis to come out of his hiding place and show the world he was alive and did a few numbers on American Idol, that would be the greatest season finale ever, AND I DON’T EVEN LIKE ELVIS!

They couldn’t get the King, so they got Prince. There’s Michael Jackson, who would’ve been good, except for the fact that he’s weird now and people would laugh or boo or run away.

But really, who does America have? NO ONE.

A Paul and Ringo reunion would be fun, even though it’s not like they haven’t done anything together recently, but since they’re British, it wouldn’t work.

All the big stars that they could have brought on are either dead, ugly, too old, or just plain weird. There’s nothing they could do that would impress me.

Anti-climactic. I like that word. I think a lot of things are very anti-climactic. I mean, just, everything really is. Nothing is surprising anymore.

So, heh, the good part of last night was the crazy running around dude falling off the stage. And “you might say I could be the next Clay Aiken!” dude. That was pretty bloody hilarious. Just as they were going for the wide shot I start thinking “wouldn’t it be funny…” and then he shows up! At first I wasn’t sure if it was him, but if it wasn’t him, then it wouldn’t have made any sense. But yeah, freaking hilarious.

This is the first season of American Idol I really really watched.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Taylor. But I picked Katharine the second she opened her mouth at the auditions and I was really hoping she would win.

Not hoping enough to actually take a few minutes and call in though. ;) But can I even do that? In Canada? Whatever.

So pretty disappointing.

Didn’t see American Idol. BUT CHRIS?!? HONESTLY?!?! I mean, I thought Katharine might be out. That’d be understandable. Maybe Taylor, because he’s not really the greatest singer, more entertainment. Elliot is apparently a really good singer (personally, I don’t care for him much), but he’s creepy.

BUT CHRIS? There is no possible reason I can think of I mean just man.

Okay, Unanimous. Didn’t see that either. BUT WHAT THE BLOODY HELL! THEY DIDN’T TELL US IT WAS FAKE? WHY THE BLOODY HELL NOT?!?!? I mean what the freaking hell, and when they were leaving, the one chick gazes back at the bunker and smiles and skips happily out of the place. I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH REALITY SHOWS TO KNOW THAT PEOPLE DO NOT LOOK BACK LONGINGLY AT THE PLACE WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN TRAPPED FOR WEEKS BEFORE LEAVING! I LOOKED BACK WHEN I SAW PAUL MCCARTNEY, BUT I WOULD NOT LOOK BACK AT THIS UGLY FAKE UNDERGROUND HOUSE!

And 70s Show. Apparently there are two more new episodes on tonight at 11:30 or some crap like that? Well, I’m taping those and I’ll watch ‘em tomorrow. But honestly, they really did jump the shark. That was a shit episode. And the 2 hour special thing was just an old freaking episode. WHAT KIND OF CRAP IS THAT? I ASK YOU!

What else? Oh yeah, English. BECAUSE I WAS SPENDING MY TIME WATCHING THESE BLOODY FREAKING SHOWS I DIDN’T STUDY FOR MY TEST TOMORROW AS MUCH AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO. SO THANKS A LOT. NOW I’M GOING TO FAIL.

Today in Computers I was drawing a little person, then I gave them a ‘fro, then I said it was Michelle, even though she doesn’t have a ‘fro, then I turned her into a tree, so then Michelle made me get eaten by a shark. Revenge pixels. Hoo boy.

Ugh, in English we’re doing poetry. We had to answer some questions last night for homework, and I, and apparently many others, didn’t do one of the questions. And what does our teacher do? Gives us a speech about taking U English and whatnot. Does she explain the question? Does she think “oh, well, most of the students had trouble with this question, so they obviously don’t understand it and I should go over it with them and make them understand”? No! Cor.

Also in English the other day, they were talking about the American Dreamz movie thing and saying that more people vote for American Idol than for president. Now, I don’t know if this is true or not, but when I heard that I thought “OBVIOUSLY!!!”

There’s no age limit on who can vote for American Idol. There is for who can vote for president.

There’s no limit on the number of times you can vote for American Idol. There is for president.

So really, that makes plain sense. Now, I’m really not one who would be defending people, because yes, I think people are stupid. Yes, voting for president is more important than voting for Idol. Which is why there are restrictions.

But really. People think people are too stupid sometimes. But it’s really the people who think the people are stupid who are stupid. See? :)

I knew I had a substitute for both afternoon classes, and I’m ahead in both classes, so missing both today would work out really nicely. But I stayed for the option sheets, but I guess substitutes don’t do them.

In Computer Science, we were doing programming, like usual. The teacher comes over to me and is like “oh, you really enjoy this?” and I’m like “yeah” because, well, I do. But I don’t know why he’d think that. I mean, it’s not like I was sitting there going “WOO HOO!” with a big smile on my face. I actually probably looked kind of drugged up. At least, that’s how I felt, even though I only had two awful teaspoons or whatever of gross purple stuff last night. But I just feel so uuuugh.

Anyway, then he’s like “oh, do you ever do those… what’re they called.. Sudoku?” and I’m like “yeah!”

Man, that dude must have been psychic or something (or psychotic, as Mason would say, bwhaha). Because he just totally knew me.

Watched American Idol. Didn’t know too many songs, so I can’t really judge them if I don’t know ‘em. Ace and Bucky both were not very good. Like Taylor’s performance, but I’m not sure, maybe it’s just because I like the song. Did not like Kellie. Thought she’d do Bohemian Rhapsody but REALLY hoped she wouldn’t. And she made some other stupid remark today, lovely. But nothing beats “what’s a ballsy?” (which someone in my family will say every time she’s on screen!). The rest of the songs I didn’t really know. Paris’ performance I just… I don’t know. It was kinda weird like Simon said, but I didn’t know if I liked it or not.

But the BEST PART…

MICKY DOLENZ WAS THERE! WOOOO!!! I was only kind of paying attention when he was on and I was gonna be like “hey, that looks like – !” but then it WAS! Bwhaha.

Great great. Anyways, I’ve got my work cut out for me because I have a ton of stuff I didn’t do today because I was being lazy and watching TV.
